“After having turned 14 and weeks of celebrating her life with a pizza birthday party, impromptu picnics at Meridian Hill, and so many walkies up and down 14th Street, we said goodbye to our Pumpkin, our Booger Bear, our Baby Girl, our Sunshine Princess.

Dax Boomer Maximus was our oops puppy, completely unplanned, but just what we needed. With her our family was complete. Apollo was the yin and she was the yang, the two of them were the perfect pair for each other and for us. She wiggled her way into our hearts and never stopped.

Just her smile could take my breath away, cause me to pause and lose myself in the moment. And when the light hit her just right it would reveal golden threads of hair that shimmered in the sun and radiated pure joy.

Thank you all for being a part of her life, for letting us live our dream with her. She loved you all. The pain of her absence is great, but the love and joy she filled our hearts with is greater. If you see us crying, know it’s because we are thinking of her and the happiest memories we made together.”
